What is a good model tenor saxophone to start on?

I’ve seen some used Yamaha YTS-23 mdels around as well as some Bundy II models. I wish I could drop a couple grand on something new, but I can’t.

If you buy second hand, it will save your money so go for it.

If you are on a budget, the place to go is Musician’s Friend. You can find them easily on the net and they sell good quality instruments at very good prices. You can get a really nice Kohlert tenor sax for a super price (brand new). I have played one of these and I will tell you, they are super quality for the money. A good sax at an affordable price.
