I’ve just bought a violin and I really want to be able to play it well, but I don’t have the time and resources to go for a violin class. I did have a few years of music class behind me, and I am about Grade 3 in piano and I can play a bit of guitar (not much, just some chords and simple techniques). If it’s possible, then what are the first things and techniques I have to learn about playing violin?

I had a big crush on a Capricorn guy, and we dated for a while, and it didnt work out..in fact we had no fun at all and yet I Still think about him. How do you play a nail and piano string?
August 31st, 2010I recently bought the album for one of my favorite bands. Among their guest instrumentation, there is a man who plays "a nail and a piano string". I am thoroughly intrigued by how this is done, what sort of sound it produces, and how I can do it myself! I googled it with absolutely no recognition of this different instrument. I was hoping someone here could provide me with good information about it. I would love to incorperate it into my own music.
